Central Texas is getting a massive new addition! DMB Development LLC is currently in the process of acquiring 7,088 acres of the 9,000-acre Solana Ranch to create a “new town.” This ambitious development, which could involve an investment approaching $2 billion, is made possible by the creation of a municipal utility district (MUD) – a crucial step in developing a site of this scale. The Texas House and Senate have already approved the bill for the MUD, and all that’s left is the approval from Governor Greg Abbott.
The master plan for Solana Ranch features many aspects of a traditional Texas town and will be constructed in several villages, eventually accommodating up to 50,000 residents! This will make it one of the largest population centers in Williamson County. Though it will take a few years to prepare the vast site for development, the goal is to welcome the first residents by late 2026.
