Smart Austin Realty Group is pleased to share news that Trez Capital recently sold two apartment communities in Pflugerville to TerraCap Management. The two communities, Dalton and The Beacon, were completed in 2021 and 2022 respectively and offer one-, two-, and three-bedroom units. Residents of both complexes have access to a variety of amenities such as swimming pools, fitness centers, dog parks, residence lounges, and outdoor grilling and dining areas. Trez Capital completed the properties in partnership with Thompson Realty Capital.

The Del Valle Independent School District has purchased 149 acres in Whisper Valley for a total of $25 million. Surveying of the site has already begun and construction of the high school is scheduled to commence later this year. The land will be used for two separate educational institutions - a middle school, an elementary school, and a high school. This is a major investment in the education of students in the Austin area, and Smart Austin Realty Group is excited to see the progress of this development.

Travis County Commissioners have approved a contract worth $35 million with Mobile Loaves & Fishes, a non-profit organization, for the development of housing for people experiencing homelessness. The Burleson Village complex will feature 640 housing units, which will be divided into two sections: microhomes of less than 400 square feet and RV units. In addition, the complex will have access to on-site mental and physical health services, addiction services, Family Eldercare, and restorative justice.

The construction process is expected to take two years and the first units should be ready for occupancy in mid-2025. Travis County is taking a proactive approach to providing safe and affordable housing for people facing homelessness, with the Burleson Village project aiming to provide much-needed support and resources to those in need.
