Cambria Hotels Opens Second Property in Austin

Smart Austin Realty Group is excited to announce that Cambria Hotels has opened the Cambria Hotel Austin Uptown Near the Domain, a five-story, 135-room hotel at 13205 Burnet Rd. The hotel features luxurious amenities including an outdoor pool and sundeck, fitness center, more than 5,500-sf of multifunction meeting and event spaces, multipurpose indoor and outdoor spaces, and on-site dining at the Uptown Kitchen & Cocktails. The hotel is the second of three planned Cambria properties in the area, with MoPac Hotel Development responsible for the construction. The first property, the Cambria Hotel Austin Airport, is already open, and the third, the Cambria Hotel Austin Downtown, is scheduled to open in the near future. Trez Capital Sells Pflugerville Apartment Communities to TerraCap Management

Surveying of the site has already begun and construction of the high school is scheduled to commence later this year. “Travis County Commissioners Approve $35 Million Housing Contract for People Experiencing Homelessness”

Travis County Commissioners have approved a contract worth $35 million with Mobile Loaves & Fishes, a non-profit organization, for the development of housing for people experiencing homelessness. The Burleson Village complex will feature 640 housing units, which will be divided into two sections: microhomes of less than 400 square feet and RV units. In addition, the complex will have access to on-site mental and physical health services, addiction services, Family Eldercare, and restorative justice.

The construction process is expected to take two years and the first units should be ready for occupancy in mid-2025. Travis County is taking a proactive approach to providing safe and affordable housing for people facing homelessness, with the Burleson Village project aiming to provide much-needed support and resources to those in need.
