PayPal leases 60,000 sf in The Domain
AUSTIN – PayPal has leased 60,000 sf of office space in the top two floors of Domain Tower 2 at 1025 Alterra Pkwy.
PayPal now represents 20 percent of the building's occupancy.
The 330,000-sf tower is the fifth in developer Stonelake Capital Partners' plan for the south side of The Domain.
Northeast Austin H-E-B gets 27,000-sf expansion
AUSTIN – H-E-B LP is adding 27,000 sf to its store at 500 Canyon Ridge Dr.
The $18 million expansion includes a new front façade, curbside pickup station, and in-store True Texas BBQ.
Construction begins in April of next year and will wrap in June 2024.
Disrupt picks up 198 apartment units in south Austin
AUSTIN – Houston-based Disrupt Equity has purchased Cascade, a 198-unit multifamily complex at 1221 Algarita Ave.
Built in 1971, Cascade has one-, two-, and four-bedroom options ranging from 484 to 1,188 sf.
Amenities include multiple pools, recreation centers, onsite laundry facilities, and a fitness center.
Disrupt acquired the property for $30.1 million.
Continental Automotive Systems eyeing completion for 215,000-sf industrial project
NEW BRAUNFELS – Continental Automotive Systems is nearing completion on a 215,000-sf manufacturing facility.
The $110 million facility, which will be used to make advanced driver assistance systems, will create 130 jobs when operations begin in September.
Habitat for Humanity begins work on Austin affordable housing townhome project
AUSTIN – Austin Habitat for Humanity has broken ground on its second affordable housing project in Travis County at 6301 Círculo De Amistad.
The .69-acre townhome project will consist of six buildings and 12 units. Construction on the first three buildings begins in 2023.
Homes from the organization's first affordable housing development in the area sold for around $185,000, with the area average being $500,000. The new homes are expected to sell for $200,000.
Geyser Group bringing The Goodwin to Austin
AUSTIN – Geyser Group is partnering with Sabot Development and Cadence McShane Construction on The Goodwin, a 363-unit multifamily project with 2,400 sf of retail space.
Thirty-seven of the units will be affordable housing units.
Amenities will include a dog park, multiple entertainment spaces, and two pools.
The first units are expected to be completed by summer of 2023.
Tide Equities buys Park at Stone Creek in Heritage Hills
AUSTIN – Tide Equities has purchased Park at Stone Creek from Turner Impact Capital.
Built in 1983, the 420-unit multifamily community at 9200 N. Plaza has one- and two-bedroom units averaging 750 sf.
Amenities include a community park, business center, sports court, fitness center, picnic areas, and two pools.
Tide Equities will spend $8.8 million on property improvements. The complex will be renamed The Tides on North Plaza.
Newmark brokered the sale.
722-unit New Braunfels, Corpus Christi apartment portfolio sells
NEW BRAUNFELS – An Austin-based investment and management firm has sold 722 multifamily units in New Braunfels and Corpus Christi.
The portfolio comprises studio and one- and two-bedroom units across multiple properties.
David B. Norton Inc. arranged a $15.5 million preferred equity investment behind a $105 million senior loan.
